Air Fryer Homemade Cinnamon Sugar Churros
0

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1.
In a saucepan on the stove, bring water to a boil and stir in 1 tablespoon of the sugar and butter.
2.Once melted, reduce heat to medium/low and fold in flour. Remove from heat.
3.In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and vanilla extract.
4.Slowly fold a few eggs into the dough. Keep repeating until eggs are well combined into the dough. Let cool.
5.Place dough into a pastry bag with a star-shaped tip. (I'm actually using a Wilton decorator, pictured.) Pipe 6-inch long churros onto a parchment paper lined baking pan or a silicone mat.
6.Place tray into the fridge to chill for about 30 minutes. (This makes your dough less sticky and easier to work with.)
7.Place a single layer of churros, not touching each other, in the air fryer. Air fry for 10 minutes at 380 degrees.
8.Mix cinnamon and 1/2 cup of the sugar together on a small plate.
9.Once churros are done cooking, roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture and place them on a cookie cooling rack. Repeat the process until all churros are cooked.
10.To make the chocolate sauce, melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in a glass bowl using the microwave for about 20-30 seconds. Mix well and dip warm churros in the sauce to serve!
This recipe makes about 26, six-inch churros.
